Devin's Birthday!!!

We get up and go eat at a little local place down the street from our hotel. Devin has to work on a final so I am headed off to do my own thing! I decide to go to the National Museum of Stockholm, Sweden. I take the bus and hope I can make it there! I get off at my stop and I can pick left or right and I pick the wrong way! LOL Horrible sense of direction. I finally see it in the distance and make it. I go in and the first floor is Applied Art & Design, this was tons of different things from different eras - cups to chairs to jewelry! I really liked looking at everything the only problem was nothing was in English. I could not read ant of the little cards under the different pieces.

I headed to the second floor and the exhibition was called The Museum in a New Light. This showed the artwork and sculptures in raw form with little set up and display in natural light. The pieces were placed randomly around the room where they would get the best natural light from the windows and many were on the floor.

I saw Rembrant's self portrait and it was not what I expected. I took some pictures of my favorite things! I headed to the gift shop and left the museum right before it was closing. Next I went find something to get Devin for his birthday!

I get home and Devin is almost done with his final... we pack and go eat at HardRock for his birthday! I had a really good drink and it was Cactus!!
