BANK HOLIDAY!
Let me share some info because I did not know what this was either when I heard it for the first time.
What is a Bank Holiday in the UK?:
A Bank Holiday is a national public holiday in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Where Does the Name Come From?:
Bank Holidays get their name because they are days when banks are shut and therefore, traditionally, no other businesses could operate.
How Many Bank Holidays in the UK?:
The number of bank holidays in the UK is relatively small compared to the number in many other European countries (only 8)
We spent most of the day relaxing and watching movies since Devin did not have school. I did drag Devin out to do a little bit of shopping... but not near as long as I would have liked!
